History

Ten years ago Dominique
Guinabert walked through a flea market in Palma
de Mayorca, Spain. She stumbled upon a broken antique bohemian-crystal lamp,
astonished by the beauty of its crystals, a moment of inspiration arrived.
She unassembled the crystals from the lamp and with the help of a needle and
thread, the first design was born. - This was the necklace that she had been
searching for in all the jewelry stores throughout the world. It was a
magical moment -.
She made two necklaces and took them to a trip
to South Africa. She wore the necklaces at a couple golf tournaments,
awakening the admiration of the guests while becoming a topic of
conversation at all the social gatherings.
Upon her return to Spain, she was asked by a
dear friend to make a necklace for a benefit auction. She gladly accepted
and with extreme joy, her necklace became the sensation of the auction,
selling for the equivalent of $1,300USD. That night, Dominique
Guinabert became a celebrity.
To begin with her new enterprise as a jewelry
designer, she began to look for the best crystals in the market, she found
the Austrian made Swarovski crystals. Guinabert hired a team of craftsman
and mounted a small shop in Palma de Mayorca Spain. Finally her many design
ideas were going to become reality.
After 10 years of international success and many
different designs, the original necklace made from a broken lamp remains the
star of her collections.
